This patch was written quite some time ago (2004) as a hack to get intercom working with Snom phones. It never worked with SIP passwords, and I am pretty sure it doesn't work with Asterisk >= 1.0.8.
It looks like the latest firmware for the Snom 320/360 (and probably the 190/220 series) has support for auto answer on a per-line basis. Which makes life a lot easier, and renders this patch redundant!
